Estimate the amount of fuel required and travel time. Ensure formalities and comply with traffic and transport regulations. Check the condition of the vehicle equipment: brakes, steering, horn, mirrors, wheels, tires, suspension, wipers, lashing devices, etc. Monitor and participate in loading and unloading the vehicle using various mechanical handling equipment, such as ramps, cranes, pallet trucks, etc. Distribute the load judiciously and check that the maximum load per axle is not exceeded. Secure the goods, protect them from bad weather, and ensure they are not damaged. Drive a truck in very variable conditions, depending on the nature of the terrain, roads, load, weather conditions, etc. Complete administrative formalities: delivery notes, purchase orders, invoices, etc. Ensure regular maintenance of the vehicle, wash it and keep it in good working order. Regularly carry out checks and verifications, carry out routine repairs, replace defective parts. In case of breakdown or getting stuck, take effective measures for towing and urgent repairs.</p><p>In terms of QHSE: Comply with the general safety instructions and rules in force within the Company, on the road, and on the Project site. Apply the procedures and rules dictated within the Integrated Management System. Wear appropriate collective and individual protection equipment (E.P.C and E.P.I) at the project level. Comply with the safety instructions formulated by the manufacturer, contained in the equipment or machine user manual. Check the condition of the equipment before use, to ensure the absence of any defect that could harm safety and/or the environment, and report any anomaly observed.
