<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Duties and Responsibilities</p><p>This position is located in the United Nations Information Centre in Algiers (UNIC Algiers), within the Information Centres Service (ICS), Outreach Division (OD), Department of Global Communications (DGC). The UNIC Algiers is the principal source of information about the United Nations system in Algeria. The UNIC is responsible for promoting public understanding and support for the aims and activities of the United Nations by disseminating UN information materials to a local audience in English, Arabic, and French; engaging local and regional partners; and, overall, bringing the United Nations closer to the people it serves.</p><p>The intern will support communication activities through visual content production, graphic design assistance and event coverage, contributing to the visibility of UN messages, campaigns and initiatives.</p><p>The intern is under the direct supervision of direct supervision of the Officer-in-Charge a.i. of UNIC Algiers.</p><p>The internship is for an initial period of three (3) months with an opportunity for extension up to a maximum of six (6) months depending on the needs of the Department and availability of the intern.</p><p>The internship is UNPAID and full-time. <p>Perform in-process quality controls (In Process) according to cosmetic GMP (ISO 22716). Water parameter control: Perform regular analyses (pH, hardness, conductivity, etc.) of treated water. Transmit samples to the laboratory for microbiological testing. Record test results and corrective actions. Verify the conformity of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products on the manufacturing and packaging lines. Perform controls: visual inspection, pH, viscosity, density, weight, PF & PSF moisture. Monitor treated water analysis and report anomalies. Collect and correctly identify samples according to the control plan. Release PSF after analysis. Prepare PSF, PF & treated water samples. Contact external laboratory for analysis needs. Monitor and control reports and sheets prepared by packaging controllers. Fill in and validate control records in real-time. Immediately report any anomaly or non-conformity and block production if necessary. Verify the batch file in terms of physico-chemical & microbiological control sheets of (PSF, PF).
