This opportunity is based in our Local Manufactory of Blida (LMB).


 


The Position


As a Legal & Compliance Manager in Novo Nordisk, you will identify and assess the Legal and Compliance risks including Business Ethics, personal data, competition law and other relevant local laws and regulation. This includes the identification of legal and compliance trends and other developments in the legal and compliance environment. You will provide assessment to the Site Management and PS Legal and Compliance Responsible. You will review and obtain approval/endorsement of risk assessment and escalate to/from affiliate Legal and Compliance and provide regular updates on progress.


 


You will also manage legal Compliance affairs of the Site by ensuring compliance with relevant laws and legislation, in cooperation with the PS Legal and Compliance Responsible. You will provide fast, effective, high quality and business-oriented legal support and advice in Site, and you will manage site litigations or coordinate site litigations using external law firms. You will develop and implement an annual legal plan for legal affairs on the site based on the risk assessment and other key initiatives on the site and legal affairs.


             


Additionally, you will ensure effective contract management, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as an effective system for archiving legal documents


 


Adding to the above, you will develop and implement an annual site Compliance Program based on site risk assessment and PS Global Compliance Program. You will implement global policies and procedures supplemented by local policies and procedures addressing local law and pharma industry requirements, when needed. You will perform site monitoring activities and support staff by giving information and training as necessary, and you will provide training to vendors as necessary.


 


Finally, you will network internally and externally to ensure an aligned and effective understanding of and approach to Business Ethics Compliance within the Site, and you will interact with government, regulatory and other authorities; and other external stakeholders to perform the job duties.


 


Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you need to have a Law Degree from a high-ranked Law School.


 


You also need to have:


  • Minimum 6+ years’ legal experience with at least 2 years in the pharmaceutical, chemical, life sciences or medical device industry
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulation and business transactions in the Site 
  • In-depth experience with Business Ethics and Compliance in pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • Good communication skills, and ability to establish cross organisational collaboration
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
