DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for Air Freight Specialist Clerk in Algeria. In this specific position you will maintain all AFR shipments while ensuring proper & timely movement of freight.

In this Air Freight Specialist Clerk position
- You will update consignee by any information concerning the shipment.
- You will provide customer by the necessary tracking report if requested.
- You will coordinate with colleagues and information sharing.
- You will issue and send the invoices to DGF network.
- You will communicate with DGF network for job handling for all specified outbound shipments.
- You will coordinate with the account department to clean regularly the file closing.
- You will coordinate with account department to control and follow-up customer’s accounts’ statements.
- You will arrange with the Sales department the SOP per customer.
- You will receive from Sales department quotations / orders or contracts with SLI & customer approval.
- You will follow-up on steady basis and constant follow-up on shipments on hands till arrival while ensuring the issuance correctness of AWBL according consignee’s shipping instruction / quotation / contract.
- You will pre-alert customers informing booking status.
- You will follow-up on booking till being confirmed on board.
- You will arrange AWBL delivery with the import gateway as per the agreed SOP per customer.
- You will issue and send the invoices to customers / DGF destinations.
- You will arrange monthly statistics based on department activity.
- You will comply with company Quality Environment and Safety process.
- You will follow Order Acceptance Procedures during Operational work.
- You will inspire coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence.
- You will identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
Now, here’s what we need from you.
- Basic AFR knowledge and Incoterms
- Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures.
- Effective interpersonal high skills.
- Computer processing and system / data entry orientation, with various PC software.
- Able to work with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Time management skills.
- Hazardous Material familiarization.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience expected.
