Head of Claims Commercial

  • Responsible for delivering the Commercial management plans for the Onshore Project Contracts.
  • Develop and implement the Claims Avoidance and Management Procedure along with associated commercial management processes and communicate across PMT.
  • Coordinate the development and stewardship of Commercial Plans for the Onshore Project.

Your Tasks

  • Support the development and implementation of Post-Award Contract Management Strategies and Scenarios for overall Onshore delivery management.
  • Support Onshore Project Management in the evaluation and planning related to claims avoidance and commercial management and prepare material required for stakeholders, including in-depth assessments and actionable analysis.
  • Conduct Delay Analyses to support Company positioning and development of response strategies to potential or active claims, and develop Contract Entitlement Assessments, liaising with Legal and Supply to ensure alignment on assessment outcome.
  • Develop Position Papers to drive alignment across stakeholders and provide a unified approach to common claims across enabling fair treatment and avoiding precedent setting.
  • Provide central support to the Project Management Team’s Commercial activities and coordinate input with Supply, Legal and other Major Project Groups / PMT functions, as required.
  • Maintain and enhance upon the Claims Avoidance and Management procedure. Ensure updates capture best practices that enhance the Claims Avoidance and Management Program.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management or Law.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry, with exposure in business and contract management including project controls, cost and schedule development, tender preparation and contract management and 3 years supervising multi discipline and multi-cultural teams and as Head of Claims for megaprojects.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Good computer literacy skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
