POSITION TITLE: Quality Controller (body shop)
REPORT TO: Supervisor
POSITION CONCEPT:
The Quality Control Controller is responsible for managing quality against the three stages of production (before, in process and final repairs) of vehicles in accordance with Manufacturer standard specifications. Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to Manufacturer standards.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review approved estimates/consumables against repaired vehicle.
- Notifies Service Engineers of any additional repairs needed.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles
- Minimizes comebacks by conducting periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
- Investigates and corrects customer complaints regarding quality.
- Submit a detailed Daily quality control report to the workshop manager to identify possible problems and to find solution where it always happens.
- Monitor return work and identify possible trends with repairs and employees
- Perform road test if necessary for betterment of the quality of repair.
- Check the vehicle for possible campaign jobs to minimize any problem in the future. Supervise a team of washers & cleaners.
- regular meetings with the team & provide guidance.
- that proper cleaning & vacuuming of the vehicles are carried out.
- proper quality checks are carried out after the washing/cleaning process.
- that proper check lists are filled up.
