Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist


Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist with extensive experience in the oilfield services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing procurement strategies that align with business goals, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Execute procurement strategies to optimize costs, enhance efficiency, and ensure quality in alignment with business objectives.

Implement procurement plans to meet organizational goals and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.


Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with key suppliers in the oilfield industry.

Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.


Execute purchases in strict alignment with approved budgets and financial constraints.

Monitor and control procurement expenditures, ensuring adherence to cost objectives.

Regularly report on spending trends and provide recommendations for cost optimization.


Review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with the legal team to address any contractual disputes.

Market Analysis

Recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.


Ensure procurement practices adhere to company policies, industry standards, and local regulations.

Mitigate risks by identifying and addressing potential supply chain disruptions.


Work closely with operations, finance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless procurement and supply chain operations.

Support project teams by sourcing and procuring materials and services within tight deadlines.


Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Use data to recommend strategic changes or improvements.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in Procurement is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of procurement experience, preferably in the oilfield services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, contract law, and supply chain management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
