Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer - Structural to join our team for a large-scale infrastructure construction project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the structural design and analysis, ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulations and standards, and providing technical leadership to the project team.
Responsibilities:
Lead the structural engineering team in the development of design concepts, calculations, and detailed drawings for various structural elements including bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure components.<br/><br/>Provide technical expertise in structural analysis using advanced software tools to ensure the integrity and safety of the structures.<br/><br/>Collaborate with other disciplines including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.<br/><br/>Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.<br/><br/>Review and approve design documents, specifications, and construction drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.<br/><br/>Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical matters, best practices, and professional development.<br/><br/>Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and obtain approvals as needed.<br/><br/>Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.<br/><br/>Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering<br/><br/>Minimum of 18 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects and utility buildings.<br/><br/>Extensive knowledge of structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, and STAAD.Pro.<br/><br/>Proficiency in relevant design codes and standards<br/><br/>Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a multidisciplinary team.<br/><br/>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.<br/><br/>Experience working on complex projects with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.<br/><br/>Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
