Position overview:



A great opportunity has opened up to join our Connection Systems Plant as Plant Manager.



Our new Connection Systems plant focuses on the production of injection molded parts and engineered plastics for automakers, suppliers, and Lear's E-Systems and Seating business units.



By repurposing an existing 5,300 square-meter facility, we aim to optimize our manufacturing capabilities, for our Connections Systems business.



Reporting directly to the Operations Director Europe & Africa, our future Plant manager will have as main mission to develop and sustain the plant competitiveness by delivering our products at the right time with the Quality expected and with positive profitability.



Meet the plant Budget and Forecasts, involving and developing people to ensure Lear as an employer of choice. You will also be in charge of promoting Lear CI culture in the plant, improve plant saturation, strengthen succession plan, and ensure 90% of employees are A players. 


Key Responsibilities (non-exhaustive):



  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction directly to the management team in the daily operations of the plant and associated activities, ensuring agreed objectives are met in line with business plans

  • Establish, maintain and monitor actual business plans in line with local and corporate goals in order to maintain viability of the business

  • Lead, support, and value employee relations.

  • Forster a positive relationship with trades union officials whilst developing employee commitment

  • Support a safe and environmentally sound working environment by providing strong management support of Health, Safety and Environment legislation and best practice

  • Ensure the utilization and understanding of continuous improvement techniques and processes within all aspects of the organization

  • Use project management, coaching and mentoring skills to drive critical business issues, whilst empowering key personnel to deliver successful outcomes in line with the business key performance indicators

  • Establish and maintain effective customers and suppliers working relationships in order to develop a positive partnership in the continuous growth and development of the business

  • Promote and maintain a culture of partnership and team working whilst maintaining the integrity of the business and achievement of corporate and local objectives

  • Ensure that the safety and health responsibility for the plant has been assigned and the resources are available to carry out the stated safety and health policies.

  • Keep in touch with employees and the facility safety and health activities by visibly demonstrating your involvement by participating in safety tours, attending safety committee meetings and training programs.

  • Ensure the availability of resources for implementation, maintenance and improvement QMS and increase its effectiveness.

  • Ensure customer requirements and determine their fulfillment in order to increase his satisfaction.

  • Create and require update and compliance with internal regulations and documentation. 

Key skills and Qualifications:



  • Strong Leadership Skills

  • Experience within the same activity (Molding, plastic injections etc)

  • Significant experience in a plant management function

  • Drive, determination, and management skills to lead, engage and motivate your team

  • Experience in a high complexity manufacturing environment

  • Experience with High Performance Work Teams

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Mastery of the English language and the French language

  • Planning and Organization skills.

  • Time Management and Prioritization skills.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
