IT Helpdesk & Automation Senior Officer

Egypt - Giza

The objective of this position is to maintain, manage, troubleshoot, and repair IT systems, in addition to diagnosing software or hardware faults and solving the issues remotely, over the phone, or in person.

  • Operating System installation and configuration (MS Windows, Linux, and MAC IOS)
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in-person, over the phone, via chat, or email.
  • Creating an IT ticketing system
  • Hands on automation, and smart solutions on all business aspects
  • Install and maintain the required software for each department
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Advise users on appropriate action.
  • Responsible for purchasing orders for devises/software as per the business need
  • Follow standard help desk procedures.
  • Log all help desk interactions.
  • Follow-up with employees to ensure complete resolution of issue.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Track-and-route problems as well as request and document resolutions
  • Resolve technical problems related to local and wide networks.
  • Troubleshoot and solve printer software/hardware issues.
  • Prepare activity reports.
  • Inform management of recurring problems
  • Stay current with system information, changes, and updates.
  • Prepare a guide handout for the new/revised software and hardware.
  • Prepare manuals to guide the newcomers for support and applying the IT policy and procedures.
  • Train users as necessary
  • Support with onboarding personal devices (Laptop and/or Mobile) on the local network

Working knowledge of the fundamental operations relevant to software, hardware, and other equipmentAble to create a ticketing system. Experience in researching, analyzing, and interpreting automated system problems.Knowledge of relevant Help Desk ticketing systemsKnowledge and experience of customer service practicesRelated experience in troubleshooting and providing help desk support.Ability to Learn New Software and HardwareProblem analysis and solving skills.Good reading and written communication skills in both English and Arabic languagesExcellent attention to detail Stress tolerance
