Regarding the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both French and English and will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Monitoring:
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to local and international compliance regulations and policies.
  • Review and interpret regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company.
  • Regulatory Reporting:
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports, ensuring all compliance-related documentation is well-documented and up-to-date.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential compliance risks and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Perform regular compliance assessments and audits across departments, ensuring the company adheres to relevant regulations.
  • Training and Guidance:
  • Conduct training sessions for employees in both French and English to ensure they understand compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing guidance to various departments, helping them navigate compliance issues and regulations.
  • Policy Development and Implementation:
  • Assist in developing and implementing company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations.
  • Ensure that the policies are clearly communicated and adhered to by all employees.
  • Investigations and Reporting:
  • Lead investigations into compliance issues, conducting interviews and reviewing documentation.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on investigations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as HR, legal, finance, and operations to address compliance-related concerns.
  • Provide expert advice and solutions on complex compliance issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the company’s compliance documentation to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with regulatory changes.

  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Certification in compliance is a must.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a compliance role in a bilingual environment.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, legal affairs.
  • Previous experience managing compliance in both French and English-speaking regions and/or international markets.
  • Language Skills:
  • Fluent in both French and English (written and verbal), with the ability to effectively communicate and interpret compliance-related materials in both languages.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of local and international compliance regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze complex compliance data.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
