SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Manage and execute operational purchasing tasks in line with Group Purchasing (GP) according to the policies, principles, guidelines, and procedures for Indirect Materials (IM) in close cooperation with local stakeholders and GP in support of the company’s business targets.
This position is located in Algiers and will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and plan the requirement for designated IM categories based on close dialogue with relevant user departments.

  
  

• Source, select, and approve suppliers for designated IM categories in close cooperation with relevant user departments (including supplier audits when relevant)

  
  

• Support user departments in ensuring optimal IM specifications are in place.

  
  

• Ensure the best possible agreements for designated IM categories, according to the purchasing objectives, by following the Tactical Purchasing Process and utilizing relevant contract formats (including frame agreements, etc.)

  
  

• Place and follow up orders in Matrix based on agreements/contracts when relevant

  
  

• Execute invoice control according to company guidelines

  
  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Purchasing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Foreign Purchasing experience.
• Experience and understanding of custom regulations (Import & Export).
• Fluency in English, French and Arabic language.
