As a Utilities and Electrical Manager, you will be managing the maintenance activities for utilities Equipment: HVAC, Air Compressors, Water Management System, Electricity, Gas, Wastewater. In collaboration with the EHS department, participate in the implementation of the EHS systems and maintain it to ensure the safety and health of site employees and ensure respect for the environment, in compliance with local regulations and GSK recommendations for all departments of GSK Algeria.


You will be accountable to ensure utilities activities are complying with EHS & Quality Standards and above site interactions for Utilities Topics. in addition to provide technical support for the different departments ( Production, Warehouse, Laboratory, ..).


You will be leading utilities projects and support other department new acquisition and ensure Strong follow up of Utilities Opex plan. you additionally will be managing the sustainability topics (Energy reduction, Water reduction, Water stewardship, ……), managing contractor for utilities activities.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Set up and ensure the follow-up of the realization of the preventive maintenance schedule of all utility and electrical equipment.
  • Update the KPl management common with the other sites of the group.
  • Ensure the availability of spare parts to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
  • Ensure that identified site projects are completed on time and at budget cost while respecting quality, EHS and local regulations.
  • Participate in the identification of risks in its sector and EHS of the site according to the criteria defined the risk management procedure.
  • Participate and possibly perform different analyses required by GSK and local authority procedures.
  • Implement the prevention of interventions by External Companies (Inspections, training, Prevention Plan, work permits, etc.)
  •  Ensure safety on site  (people, installations, construction sites, interventions by external companies ...)
  • Ensure the protection of the environment (waste, air pollution, discharges, etc.).
  • Manage the expenses of the department within the allocated budget.
  • Ensure the application of the site's EHS policy within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Participate in the updating of the Site Master Plan and ensure the progress of its action plan
  • Deploy the self audit as described on the TP13 and ensure the improvement of it’s compliance
  • Monitor and interpret internal EHS indicators and those reported to the group, ensure that the identified solutions/initiatives are achievable and that their objectives are achievable.
  • Ensures compliance with GSK standards.
  • Obsolescence management
  • Ensure the development of the utility team
Why you?Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/HVAC or any other technical specialty.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar position or another technical position (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/HVAC).
  • Proven knowledge in one of the technical fields (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/HVAC)
  • Knowledge of utilities and Engineering standards & best practices
  • Experience in the management and maintenance of utility and electrical equipment
  • Good English level
