Job Description

The Project Director (PD) is responsible for the management, delivery and acceptance of multiple programs of work for Motorola Solutions customers in Algeria.
This key strategic role will report directly to the Regional System Integration (SI) Director, with a dotted line to the Regional SI Manager. The PD will be responsible for leading the local SI team and supporting functional groups to drive the best outcome for the customer, the project and Motrorola’s business interests. The role will form part of the International SI organization post sale team and fall under the AMEA region.
The role will also assist with Business development in Algeria supporting the Key Account Managers (KAM) in pre-sale activities, change orders and future business endeavors.
The PD is responsible for the delivery of scope of works / program of works for Motorola’s customers based in Algeria. The objective of this role is to promote the professionalism of Motorola’s project management and systems engineering, both internally and externally, and thereby achieving Total Customer Satisfaction through consistently successful completion of assigned projects and proposals, as determined by:
Overall responsibility for delivery of Motorola Solutions contracted scope of works for the customer.
Establish and maintain very close working relationships with key internal and customer stakeholders to ensure total project success.
Project planning
Project governance
Project reporting at various forums (internal / external / executive / steering board levels)
Sound financial management
Assessment and management of risks.
Identification, supervision, and mentoring of assigned resources.
Meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Conformance to and administration of the project contract.
Internal reporting of project progress and financial status of projects. (Financial management)
Building and maintaining a cohesive, enthusiastic and high performing team.
Identify and develop opportunities for enhancing project scope through contract changes / variations.
Accurate estimation of variation work (effort, solution, schedules and other inputs)
Establishment of post system acceptance support and operations.
Develop and review quotations for systems Integration in support of sales proposals, including schedule, work breakdown structures, resources, risk budget and third party providers.
Assess vendor capabilities and vendors’ products and services to satisfy a complete system implementation.
Select and manage third party service providers as required.
All other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Region SI Director

Basic Requirements

Essential:
Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Project Management, Communication Management, Telecom or related disciple
Formal qualifications in project management (PMP, Prince etc.)
Recent experience in delivering Complex / large scale projects as a PD or PM in Algeria

Fluency in both: English & French

Desirable:
Recent management experience leading large project team
Minimum of 10 years experience as a programs manager or project director
Post graduate qualification in a related field
Recent experience with various project management tools/methodologies
The job offer would be contingent on Motorola contract award in the country.
