Job Purpose:
To ensure a detailed product demand forecast at SKU level for assigned Upjohn portfolio in Algeria, Tunisia on 36 months rolling horizon, and through detailed analysis and review ensuring the accuracy of the forecast is improved on a continual basis. Align and work with Commercial and Finance stakeholders to ensure the demand forecast and financial operating plans are aligned on an ongoing basis. In collaboration with end-to-end Planning team, ensure best in class supply performance to Upjohn business enabling growth and supply continuity. Adopt Demand Planning best practice and process improvement in areas such as statistical forecasting leveraging SAP DP, use of market intelligence, excellence in Sales and Operations Planning, proactive inventory management and obsolescence mitigation. Management of logistics and Distributions for all finished goods

Key Accountabilities



Demand Planning:



To execute a collaborative process with the local teams in all activities surrounding generation of both short-term and long-term demand forecast for assigned portfolio. Review, consolidate and submit a monthly forecast (36-month forward looking) in SAP APO-DP for private market and institutional demand segments in-line with defined planning timelines. Optimize forecast accuracy both at the detail and aggregate level ensuring use of all available market intelligence (e.g. market trends, promotional activity, brand forecast review process),. Proactively manage in-market sales in collaboration with commercial colleagues and conduct IMS/TMS conversions for budgeting and forecasting purposes. Work in close collaboration with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure robust and ongoing reconciliation and alignment between the Operational demand forecast and Financial Planning process, in particular to support Operating Plan and Latest Estimate updates. Orchestrate and facilitate key forums to support demand plan generation including BFR meetings, Market S&OP, Product Change Management and New Product launch meetings, regulatory and submissions reviews as needed. Proactively work with the Above Market Planners end to end team to maintain correct master data, ensure all supply chain agreements correctly reflect market requirements and ensure all relevant SKUs are appropriately maintained in the demand planning system.

Supply Assurance:



Work in close collaboration with end to end team ensuring the appropriate replenishment plans and inventory management for the market (incl. ELC and in transit inventories) ensuring optimal inventory according to agreed distributor inventory requirements and / or planning parameters of Pfizer in – market inventory. Review and endorse supply chain agreements and all parameters therein in close collaboration with end to end team. Pursue inventory objectives aligned with Global, Regional, and Local targets. Work closely with end-to-end team in managing aging inventory and work with Commercial, Finance and regulatory colleagues to develop mitigation plans to minimize obsolescence risk. Identify with end-to-end team root causes for Supply/ Obsolescence issues to ensure that corrective actions are put in place and embedded across the organization. Validate with end-to-end team the monthly Supply Plan that supports the business forecast considering lead time, safety stocks and shelf life requirements. Proactively manage the impact of Global, Regional and Local supply issues, coordinating with and escalating to AMP, to ensure timely resolution and proper communication with all stakeholders. Proactively communicate to end to end team on market intelligence and dynamics affecting supply planning and work closely with end to end colleagues to generate appropriate Market Supply Alerts as and when needed to inform stakeholders of potential supply interruption.

Other key SC process capabilities:



PCM – Product Change Management
Plan and coordinate Product Source changes (Plant Network Strategy-PNS), New Product launches, loss of exclusivity, artwork changes, etc. utilizing the AMP toolsets for PCM. Ensure that supply plans proposed by end to end are aligned with registrations, regulatory changes and timelines. Work in close collaboration with end to end planners to ensure all proposed changes, localization projects and future business development projects are aligned with business and operational planning.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)



Lead monthly Market S&OP process for North Africa delayed market with cross functional participation from Business Units, Regulatory, Finance, Sales, Marketing with the objective of improving/optimizing supply chain operations and meeting financial targets. Ensure appropriate demand and supply balancing, providing updates on identified gaps, defining and presenting mitigation plans to all key stakeholders for support and endorsement as required. Continuous development and improvement of the S&OP process to accommodate new business needs and market requirements.

Distributor Inventory Management



Sales Operations accountability for distributor inventory management (and/ or Pfizer owned inventory as appropriate) and replenishment in accordance with agreed contractual conditions, in close collaboration with end to end team, commercial and customer service team responsible for order processing and release. Lead the inventory consolidation between theoretical inventory and actual inventory for all market distributors by defining the gap and root cause for differences.

Logistics Operations



Management of DC operations through system interfaces and aligned processes and periodic performance review meetings Distribution network projects, LSP selection and contract processes aligned with global logistics and procurement colleagues Ensure all logistics processes in compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and UJ standards in logistics, customs, trade, security, cold chain, controlled substances, EH&S, quality and as well as any applicable laws and regulations (Local, US or International) Logistics budget management including preparation of annual budget, variance and forecast reporting Inventory management that ensures inventory accuracy between physical and system (DC and Pfizer UJ ERP stocks) through system reconciliation, cycle counts and adjustments Ensure return, destruction and insurance claim processes are aligned with regulatory requirements and company policies Support to reduce obsolescence cost

Project Management



Lead SAP implementation in-market project team for inventory, direct procurement, LSP/DC interface and order to cash in alignment with global project team and work as subject matter expert in these areas together with other logistics and customer service colleagues Support business strategies and market regulatory requirements with value added projects aligned with supply chain strategies Manage all aspects of project life cycle to facilitate successful delivery of commitments of the regional or local team Establish detailed project plans with milestones, timelines, interdependencies, metrics, and resource requirements Prepare progress reports by identifying risks and developing mitigation plans

Operational Excellence



Ensure all processes are well documented in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with clear process flows, lead times and RACI charts aligned with company policies Drive ongoing process improvement & efficiency for all logistics and customer service operations through strategic thinking, innovation, digitalization, and standardization. Explore opportunities to reduce / avoid costs and reduce order & shipment lead time to improve the efficiency for delivery of product to customers in collaboration with all stakeholders and customers.
