ROLE SUMMARY



The Logistics Specialist, as a core member of the Market’s Logistics Organization and reporting to the Logistics Manager , acts as an enabler/facilitator in ensuring market’s Logistics operations in market, comprising set of end-to-end processes - Inbound, Storage, and Outbound processes for finished products in market’s Distribution Center and delivery to Pfizer’s customers (until point of handover) are managed as per defined operational Global and market processes and existing SLAs, in compliant and efficient (cost, process) manner. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for adherence to regulatory, quality and compliance standards defined by Pfizer, GSDP and Local Authorities, in managing market’s Logistics/Distribution Operations. The Logistics Specialist is responsible of inventory accuracy (system) by supporting inventory/cycle counts, stock control and reconciliation data from routine sources and investigations, analyzing data discrepancies, performing data analyses, and carrying out stock reconciliation tasks.
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for maintaining appropriate tracking and reporting tools for all key logistics administrative activities and act as Key influencer within the distribution center to implement and maintain a continuous improvement culture.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES



Act as a logistics facilitator to ensure all elements of the daily operations (inbound logistics, outbound logistics, transportation), value-added activities (ex. Marketing Aids, Samples, Secondary packaging) are handled in a way to meet customer requirements and Pizer commitments: includes and not limited to operational planning, ensuring monitoring and controls are in place to track performance, cost, quality, and shipping record management Responsible for facilitating key processes and activities in ensuring product integrity throughout the supply chain in market’s jurisdiction. Including and not limited to:

Material Master Management



Ensure that Item Master data related to warehousing views are accurate (Set-up & Maintaining Master Data) Responsible of data accuracy in Pfizer systems

Warehousing and Inventory Management:



Work closely with the Warehouse team in ensuring timely and accurate execution of the cycle count and annual count processes as per the market’s inventory cycle calendar including the reporting of count results and stock discrepancies along with root cause investigation to the Line Manager. Ensure timely execution and accurate movement of products within the distribution center such that products are always maintained both in system and in their designated quality locations (ex: Saleable stock, destruction stock, etc)

Destruction process



Implement the Distribution Center maintenance program: ensure curative and preventive maintenance of all equipment’s and installation in the warehouse by dealing with different vendors and ensuring the execution of the controls as per SOPs requirements.

Outbound and Reverse Logistics:



Track availability of packaging material to ensure its availability for shipment process. Secure procurement of new packaging materials in a timely manner through liaison with the warehouse leader and the Supplier(s). Support the line manager and the Quality Operations in providing appropriate reports in managing the recalls process when required. Additionally, ensure execution of returns shipments and other focused activities related to a recall as directed by the line Manager

Distribution Costs:



Support in preparing and meeting market’s distribution budget; monitoring costs, correcting errors, forecasting and reporting actuals and variance Ensure the process of establishing purchase orders, booking and receiving invoices from suppliers in an accurate, efficient and timely manner, in accordance with the department's purchase order management process, to reflect correct accounting distribution costs. Support RFP process for suppliers’ selection. Ensure that expenses are accurate, captured and controlled through an effective expense and cost tracking tool to provide data and trends to accurately analyze and forecast expenses. Support and propose continuous improvement initiatives in order to optimize logistics and distribution costs.

Quality and Compliance:



Full awareness of and adherence to quality and compliance requirements related to downstream supply chain: includes, Pfizer policies, 3rd party requirements, GDP, Quality Agreement. Market’s regulatory requirements, Serialisation mandate, EH&S, Business Continuity, DG and Controlled, and Security requirements, Global Trade Controls, etc Ensure the design, implementation, monitoring and updating of SOPs. Assist with Market Excellence Assessments within pre-determined timelines and according to pre-defined objectives. Maintain files, SOPs and departmental records. Ensure that all documentation is safely archived, can be easily retrieved for audit requirements and is updated regularly with changes to legislation and working practices and that any such changes are implemented. Train new colleagues on systems and processes.

Continuous Improvement



Act as CI Specialist for logistics initiatives in market when assigned; identify, initiate, and contribute in CI projects including cost, process, change management, business case studies and others Data analysis for key market projects, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives, budget and variance/forecasting process, and metrics management Ensure that the CI projects are up to date & progressing in a timely manner.

Management of ERP systems



EHS and Security:



Actively participate in the implementation of EHS program and the achievement of the site's EHS objectives and continuously improve the EHS management system.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years’ experience in pharma SC or equivalent; experience in handling Logistics/Distribution Operations, customs processes and documentation in the region High proficiency in MS Office applications with advanced strengths in Excel and PowerPoint Good understanding of Supply Chain E2E processes and ability to apply supply chain concepts in logistics operations Hands-on experience in Logistics ERP systems Able to analyze logistics reports to analyze trends and status - Experience identifying trends and exceptions in data Experience identifying improvements/opportunities for cost reduction related to distribution expenses Demonstrated ability to liaise or led cross-functional team projects. Understanding of procurement essentials

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's in pharma / supply chain / logistics Experience within Pharmaceutical industry or similar Degree in APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification Ability to use a variety of communication tools and techniques to explain difficult issues and drive consensus/ decisions Accomplished influencing skills with win-win outcomes with key stakeholders Experience driving difficult conversations with management level stakeholders
